Why a wrap preview sells the job

A vehicle wrap is the cheapest billboard a local business can buy: a van parked outside a job and driven through town every day is seen by thousands of people. But owners hesitate to spend a few thousand dollars on vinyl without knowing how it will look on their own vehicle, and a flat template drawing does not answer that question.

Vehicle Wrap Design starts from a photo of the actual vehicle. The AI recognises the panels, windows and wheel arches and lays a complete commercial wrap over them — brand colours, logo area, trade name, phone number, website — while the photo’s light and background stay the same. The owner sees their van, outside their yard, wrapped.

Built for trades and wrap shops

The people who use this every month:

  • Plumbers, electricians, painters, landscapers, cleaners and HVAC companies who want their van or pickup to bring in calls. One long-term P20V subscriber designs wraps such as "plumber wrap for a 2010 Tacoma" and "painter wrap for a 2002 Honda CR-V" every month.
  • Wrap shops and sign makers who send three or four previews with every quote instead of one hand-drawn proof.
  • Fleet managers who need one brand look across vans, pickups and company cars.
  • Food trucks, mobile detailers, removal companies and delivery services whose vehicle is their shop front.

What makes a commercial wrap work

Keep the message short: company name, what you do, one phone number and a website. People read a moving van for two or three seconds. Put the phone number on the rear doors where drivers sit behind you in traffic, and the name and trade large on both sides. Use two or three brand colours with strong contrast against the base paint, and avoid fine text across door handles and panel gaps.

With P20V you can test all of this in minutes. Ask for "a version with a white base and only the rear half wrapped", "darker green, larger phone number", or "same design without the photo of the house". Each variation takes about 30 seconds, so the customer can choose between real options instead of imagining them.

From preview to printed wrap

The output is a photorealistic 2K image, not a print file. When the customer approves a design, the wrap shop recreates it on the manufacturer template for that vehicle in their usual software, prints and laminates the vinyl and installs it. The preview removes the most expensive part of that process: the rounds of revisions before anyone agrees what the van should look like.

Vehicle wrap design FAQ

What is the easiest vehicle wrap design software?

For deciding what a wrap should look like, a photo-based AI tool is the fastest: upload a photo of the van or truck, describe the trade, colours and contact details, and you get the branded vehicle back in about 30 seconds. You still need your wrap shop’s template software for the final print file; the AI image is the approved design they build it from.

Can I add my own logo, phone number and website?

Yes. Upload the vehicle photo, then add the logo as a second image in the editor and write the text you want: "company name large on both sides, phone 555-0134 on the rear doors, website on the bonnet". Check spelling of phone numbers and URLs in the result before you send it on; regenerate if a character is off.

Is there a free vehicle wrap design tool?

P20V is not free. Starter costs $29 per month for 50 designs, with the first month at $14.50, and includes commercial use. For a wrap shop one closed job pays for years of the plan.

Which vehicles can I design wraps for?

Cargo vans (Transit, Sprinter, ProMaster, Express), pickups (Tacoma, F-150, Sierra, Hilux), box trucks, food trucks, trailers, company cars, SUVs and minivans. Any clear photo of the vehicle works.

Can I do a partial wrap instead of a full wrap?

Yes. Ask for it: "partial wrap on the rear half and doors only, keep the white paint at the front". Partial wraps and spot graphics are the most cost-effective option for small fleets, and the preview shows how much branding they still carry.

Can I show the same design on every vehicle in a fleet?

Upload a photo of each vehicle type and describe the same design for each, or upload the approved design as a reference image next to the new vehicle photo and ask for "the same wrap on this vehicle". That keeps a van, a pickup and a car in one brand look.

How long does a design take and what resolution is it?

About 30 seconds per design, delivered as a 2K image you can download, put in a quote or show on a tablet at the customer’s site.
